Hello, Iím Gertie.

I have just come into Senior Staffy Club care but for the past 3 years I have been in kennels at another rescue waiting for a home. Now, between you and me, I am getting very worried that Iím never going to find my forever home! Iíve got years left in me yet and I donít want to spend them all in kennels!

However, the Senior Staffy Club have taken me under their wing now and I am hoping so much I can find my forever home. I have heard rumours that theyíre very good at finding homes for middle aged ladies like me.

I donít mind other dogs as long as they mind their own business and leave me alone. I do have a bit of a grumble under my breath if they bark at me.

Theyíre very nice to me here and take me for lovely walks which I so enjoy, I love sniffing all over the place, but they tell me rolling in smells is a no-no!! I do walk very nicely on my lead, which apparently is a good thing. I know how to sit and give my paw, thatís good too, isnít it?

I have been rudely informed that I am a little overweight and have been put on a diet, what a cheek! I do so love my treats, I keep asking nicely but they only let me have 1 or 2. Do you think you might be more generous with the treats?

I am OK around older children and had a little friend at my previous kennels who was 8 who used to come and visit me and we got on fine. So children around the same age would be nice to live with as long as they know not to be too rough with me.

I like going for car rides, so can you come and take me away to your home, please nicely??

I really hope to see you soon, I so want to meet my forever family

Love Gertie xx

Gertie is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. She is in kennels in the Stafford area but can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However any adopter should be willing to travel to meet her where he is now.

There is an adoption donation of £90 for Gertie and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.

If you think you could offer Gertie a new home please contact Nikki on 07870 392164
or fill out the Adoption Form at www.seniorstaffyclub.co.uk
