New to RHU? Add your Rescue details here>Map of UK rescue centres and pounds - add your rescue!
Jod 02:05 3rd November 2011
Following on from the suggestions in this thread (thanks folks!) I think it's a really good idea for us to get a map together of rescue centres and pounds in the UK.

(I know some rescues don't have premises so may not want to be listed, no probs.)

To add your rescue centre to the map please post the address details here and we'll get them added to a google map.

Can also add your web address and telephone number in there on your location.

Once we've got the first one added I'll post the link here and incorporate it somewhere in to the site for future use (and on the directory)

Thanks guys, I think this could be very useful for everyone here and for the public when searching for rescues in their area.

Good Idea!

Ceredigion Animal Rescue and Education (The Dog Charity Shop) SA43 1JT
0845 463 0623
http://ceredigionanimalrescue.org.uk/

(that is actually the postcode of the charity shop but as our registered address is a private house and the dogs are in boarding kennels where we do not want people just turning up that is the best option as they can be told about them in there).

Thanks.

Yep just pounds and rescues ( i don't ignore pounds but i think of them as all the same.) that are registered on RHU.
Reciprocal marketing or promotion is the only way.

Acresway kennels and pound is the ONLY one for our area, and that covers a lot of space.
I don't know much about them, other than they have a huge task, but will find out as much as I can.

I just think registered or not they will have dogs that need help, and whilst without registering they couldn't post on the boards, at least users could make their own contact to enquire about stuff if they want to. Maybe those not already registered will hear / see that they are listed on this board and may look into it and register because of it.

Yes, BUT - if a rescue is not registered that means we've not had any confirmation from them that they will spay/neuter, vaccinate, homecheck etc. and RHU's philosophy from the start has been to help rescues that do these things.

You never know what dodgy people are out there handing around unneutered unvaccinated animals and calling themselves rescues unfortunately.
