Default Haatchi-an ex-RHU dog In the News!

UK-GSR took a 3 legged anatolian shepherd earlier this year, via RHU. Since then he has hit the headlines many times!!

What a heart warming story with such a wonderful outcome. It just confirms my belief that when you rescue a dog anything is possible - you just need to be astute enough to find it in your new friend. Well done to UKGSD. xx

How lovely - a great ending for such a rotten cruel start to the dog's life and wonderful for the little lad. Am not a huge supporter of FB but it has its moments !

That's fantastic, well done for helping him and what a great rehoming

And not just the wonderful help he's been for this child...

I met Haatchi and his owner at crufts today, both were lovely, Haatchi was convinced I had something edible in my handbag, I think he knows where treats are kept!

I felt they were all very deserving but thought Haatchi and the dear wee boy would win.

Fantastic x naomi

More news!

We've had an email from a broadcaster who are making a programme for Japanese TV about Haatchi and Owen, and they've asked if they can display the threads here on RHU in their programme! How cool!

Have replied to say 'definitely!' (they say they've already contacted the people who originally made the threads which I guess will be Michelle (alldogsmatter) and UKGSR, and they've said it's ok)

I've asked them to send us a link if possible once it's made, so if it's available to watch online we can all have a look

How wonderful that people care and are so struck by this particular story. It's great.

I was in the local library a few days ago when a book cover on the shelf caught my eye. Though vaguely still aware of the story from the above I had no idea that this book, which I'd not heard of, would turn out to be about a dog rescued with the help of RSPCA, All Dogs Matters, RHU, and UKGSR. I started reading it late last night & was half way through before I put it down at 3.45 this morning. It's an incredible story of a families devotion & triumph over adversity for both Owen and Haatchi that will bring tears to the eyes of many. If you've not seen this book I'd recommend getting hold of a copy to anyone.

Haatchi also apparently has a FB page of his own https://www.facebook.com/Haatchi/

Very late reply here (I've been offline on maternity leave)

That's fab, I haven't heard of this book before and it was released ages ago in 2014. Sounds great, will check it out
