Default ***Rescue Associates - non-rehoming rescue support organisations***

A non-rehoming rescue support organisation is an established group who may post for help with transport or homechecks etc. ON BEHALF OF an established rescue organisation (or multiple organisations). The rescue does not have to be RHU registered but DOES have to work to our rescue requirements.

To register your non-rehoming organisation please copy the form details below and add a post to this thread. Thank you. (Please note this system is still in 'beta' and requirements and details may be subject to change. Feel free to contact staff if you'd like to discuss your organisation or 'Rescue Associate' status.)

Name of organisation: Staffyclub

Website: http://www.staffyclub.com/

Type of animal(s) organisation deals with: staffordshire bull terriers, other bullbreeds, mostly poundies on death row or dogs otherwise at immediate risk.

We appeal for rescue spaces/rescue back up with foster homes, transport runs, homechecks and forever homes on behalf of our rescue friends. We do NOT undertake rehoming ourselves, all animals we assist must have RBU from an appropriate rescue.

Do you confirm that rescue backup will be in place PRIOR to organising any transport, homecheck etc. and that no requests for help will be posted on the Rescue Helpers Unite forum without this first being in place?:
Yes. RBU is ALWAYS sought & confirmed before any other arrangements are made. If RBU is not already in place, we will always ensure we secure this for the animal first before requesting homechecks, transport etc. We will always state who is providing RBU in any requests we make.

Name of organisation: South Coast Animal Rescue

Website: http://www.southcoastanimalrescue.co.uk/

Type of animal(s) organisation deals with:
All types of animals

Do you confirm that rescue backup will be in place PRIOR to organising any transport, homecheck etc. and that no requests for help will be posted on the Rescue Helpers Unite forum without this first being in place?: Yes

Other details (optional): SCAR is a 100% not-for-profit organisation which investigates and exposes animal cruelty. SCAR is run entirely by volunteers. SCAR operats across Southern England.

There has been occassions where we have rehomed animals ourselves and it may be that this happens in the future occassionally. If we do we will comply with all the rescue requirements you've outlined in the Rescue Requirements thread. This is mainly for farm animals such as hens. We're mainly an investigative group exposing cruelty in the industries which profit from animal abuse.

Yes. RBU is ALWAYS sought & confirmed before any other arrangements are made- we are firmly opposed to dogs going into homes without rescue involvement. If RBU is not already in place, we will always ensure we secure this for the animal first before requesting homechecks, transport etc. We will always state who is providing RBU in any requests we make or pm a member of staff to let them know.
