Default Puppy Farming practice to be debated in Parliament

Puppy Farming practice to be debated in Parliament

Last week All Dogs Matter headed to Westminster to show our support to PupAid – a campaign designed to help ban the sale of young puppies and kittens unless their mothers are present. Many of the supportive MPs participated in the drop-in session, where they took part in a photo shoot to further raise awareness of this important animal welfare issue.

Over 108,000 members of the public have now signed a petition, which guarantees a debate in Parliament. It is anticipated that the debate will take place later this month.

There is now cross-party support from MPs, including 16 Conservative, 11 Labour, and 5 Liberal Democrat MPs, as well as 1 Green MP. The campaign will seek to work with officials to find a solution, if the Minister permits PupAid to do so.

We have a lot to achieve before the debate, which is happening very soon so please do act as soon as possible. You can:

•Write to your local councillor and your local MP and ask them to work together to raise the matter with your local council, and clarify the council’s position on the matter.
•Ask your local MP to raise the matter with Animal Welfare Minister, Lord de Mauley and to consider speaking in the debate, once the date is confirmed.
You can find out who your MP is and their contact details at findyourmp.parliament.uk.

Visit PupAid.org for more information on the campaign.

Oh no! Plus why did they feel the need to put a pic of a Rottie! For god sake like its not hard enough for these breeds without putting a pic like that that has no connection to the article.
